no time to post #amreading

Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude - National Book Foundation

Don't ask why I thought it would be a good idea to attempt #TheSealeyChallenge (or as one Tweeter put it, #TheSealeyOpportunity) at the same time as I am receiving books almost daily for NCTE Poetry Notables list, but...

you KNOW why I thought that would be a good idea! Here's what I'm up to (along with some writing and submitting of my own):

Head first into the sea of words!  I forgot to send my line to Christie, who is hosting Poetry Friday with a delightful community spirit at Wondering and Wandering--but I think that one would do!

  1. Wow! I think your TBR stack is taller than mine! I do like the idea of reframing the challenge to an opportunity. Good luck!

  2. A) I just picked up that Ross Gay book for #TheSealeyChallenge, and B) It seems like PERFECTLY reasonable multitasking to go all #Sealey with your #NCTEPOETRY books!

  4. Ok. Too bad we can't bike and read, drive and read, cook and read etc. That's an invention we need to work on!!! When are you sleeping? But how WONDERFUl, really snuggled in a sea of words. And with perhaps more than your usual clear intentions you will remember lots. At my stage I have to be slow and focused. Too much at once is not good. Then there's writing.....you are on fire, good thing you're near "water"! Wow.

  5. I have woefully fallen behind on #TheSealyChallenge due to the start of school. For a hot minute I thought I could read a poetry book each day And write a blog post about it. Who am I? At the end of the day, I realize I am only disappointing myself and she will forgive me. Good luck with all that!

  7. Heidi, I wish you much luck with your multi-tasking. All sounds exciting but tasking so pace yourself in this heat and back-to-school prep.
