it had to happen: the fork poem

Tine After Tine

tuning fork for matching pitch
long-handled fork to scratch an itch
fork in the road to force a decision
(fork not as good as knife for incision)

garden fork for hard-packed soil
forklift spares your back the toil
bicycle fork suspends your wheels
favorite fork: the one at meals

  1. Your incision line is a hoot! Bring on the rest of the kitchen!

  2. I love this, Heidi! It's the best poem I've read in ages.

  3. Of course, or should I say of coarse. What a great collection of forks!

  4. Nice one! Had to come back in time to check it out!

Thanks for joining in the wild rumpus!
