npm2020: poetry videos day 5 "Petaling"

My National Poetry Month Project 2020 is to record a short video each day in April featuring me presenting my published poems.  For poetry lovers of all ages!

Today's poem is "Petaling," inspired by the cherry blossoms at Kenwood in Montgomery County, Maryland.  Our family has visited every year since 1999!

  1. I adore cherry trees blossoming here. Much later than there and the burst of spring color so short in our mostly mini-springs. Where I grew up outside of NYC we had a much earlier spring and more sun. I didn't notice or pay attention enough then. And miss the colorful bliss that was mine to savor, if only I had. Lovely.
